Year of the Dog coming

There are no celebrities in this news item, but I think you pet lovers will want to know that 2006 is the Year of the Dog on the Chinese calendar. But don't celebrate early--Chinese New Year isn't until January 29, 2006.

The picture at right is of a Chinese vendor selling balloons depicting images of dogs in Huaibei on November 26, 2005. The vendor said the balloons are selling well ahead of the new year 2006.

Don't you think those balloons are just a wee a bit reminiscent of Disney's "101 Dalmatians"? Does Arnold Schwarzenegger know about this?
