NASCAR's Greg Biffle prefers flying to driving with his dog
NASCAR driver Greg Biffle could've driven seven hours to get his dog to the vet appointment, but why do that when you can fly instead. (Of course, if those darn state troopers would only let him drive his usual on-track speed, he could cut that time by more than half!)
Greg brought his dog to N.C. State at the suggestion of fellow NASCAR driver Ryan Newman after local vets couldn't figure out why one of his boxers, Gracie, had been sitting strangely and hobbling a bit after chasing Greg on his four-wheeler.
Rather than make the drive, Greg "summoned his helicopter." The trip was apparently the first time an animal had been flown to the school for a routine exam. Alas, the news reports don't indicate if the N.C. State vets could diagnose and resolve Gracie's problem. We certainly hope so!
