American Idol's Chris Daughtry: Bird Killer?

We hope this news item is an April Fool's joke, because American Idol's Chris Daughtry is one of our faves. (Rock on, man!)

According to TMZ.com, Chris isn't just rocking CBS Television City on Tuesday nights--he's also rocking the Idol house where the contestants stay (until they're eliminated and sent home in heartbreaking fashion.)

A neighbor of the Hancock Park AI home alleges that Chris' music is so loud and stressful that it killed her bird, Sweet Pea. Chris is reportedly quite distraught, but some of his fellow contestants joked that Chris should wear a t-shirt that says "R.I.P. Sweat Pea."

If I find out who joked about this, they're not going to get my vote, that's for sure!
