Dick Cheney adopts a cat

You may or may not have noticed that things inside the Beltway have been a little tough lately. So, it should come as no surprise that Dick Cheney and his family might look for a little companionship in the form of a small kitty.

Whiznews.com reports that the Cheneys adopted the cat through a rescue relocation program. The cat, who now prowls the residence at "Number One Observatory Circle," is from the Muskingum County Animal Shelter in Zanesville, OH.

Alas, the cat has now entered the high-security world of Washington--calls to the Cheney family about their new pet have not been returned.
