Elton John and David Furnish tie not with pet pooch present

Congratulations to Elton John and David Furnish on the occasion of their wedding. The long-time couple were married today in England, shortly after the country began permitting same-sex marriages.

In attendance for the big event was--of course--Elton's and David's dog, Arthur. Reuters captured the arrival of the pooch with well-dressed friends of the happy couple, British artist Sam Taylor-Wood and her husband, art dealer Jay Jopling (photo at right).

"Both Elton and David had tears in their eyes as the service drew to a close," Taylor-Wood told People. "It was lovely when they kissed. Very romantic and touching."
