Adrien Brody longs for chihuahua, not Naomi Watts
I think this is the sweetest little news item, but it makes me think King Kong star Adrien Brody needs his head examined (or his eyes). The Daily Record reports that Adrien dug deep when looking for inspiration for the scenes when he searches for Naomi--his feelings for his pet chihuahua.
Now, I might think that Naomi herself was inspiration enough. (Have you seen Kong, or Mulholland Drive, for that matter?!?) Instead, in the scenes where Adrien must find Naomi after she's abducted by the big ape, he thought of the times he searched for Ceelo, his pooch.
"I've had scenarios where Ceelo has disappeared on me, run away, what have you. It's the most frightening, frustrating thing because he's so small."
Read more about Adrien, Ceelo, and Kong on DailyRecord.co.uk. And if you haven't seen Kong, by all means do so--you want to see this on the big screen! (Kong may not be anyone's idea of a great pet, but I couldn't help thinking of the relationships between pets and their humans when watching the scenes between Naomi and the digital-but-frighteningly-realistic ape.)
