''PawPurrAzzi'' in Miami--Tomorrow night

If you're in the Miami area and looking for something to do Thursday night, go hang out with local celebs and their dogs. A ''PawPurrAzzi'' event starts at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Village of Merrick Park in Coral Gables.

Some of South Florida's most prominent personalities will share their celeb status with their pets when portraits of their best friends will be displayed gallery-style and auctioned off as part of a fundraiser to benefit the Humane Society of Greater Miami and Adopt-A-Pet.

And believe me, these are some pet-loving celebrities! Former Apprentice hopeful Katrina Campins cut her vacations short because she couldn't bear to leave her two American bulldogs, Sake and Jax. Artist Romero Britto's gray and white cat, Squeaki, takes afternoon naps atop her owner's 2003 yellow Ferrari.

Other pets included in the portraits belong to the Miami Dolphins' Jason Taylor, singer Barry Gibb, The South Beach Diet author Dr. Arthur Agatston, shoe designer Donald J. Pliner, Olympic silver medalist Lauryn Williams and talk show host Cristina Saralegui, among others.
