DMX and dog, Gotti, announce new album
Suppose you were in jail for two months--what's the first thing you'd do when you got out? Play with your dog, of course!
It sounds like rapper DMX (or as his mother knows him, Earl Simmons) may have had other things on his mind after being released from a 70-day sentence for violating his parole. Released December 30th, he quickly signed a three-album deal with Sony after dropping longtime label Def Jam. (Guess they didn't come to visit him in the slammer.)
But DMX wouldn't announce his new record deal and upcoming CD without his best friend, Gotti. On Friday, DMX made the big announcement of his label change, and Gotti was right there with him (as you can see).
