Scarlett Johansson is showered with dog gifts by Ewan McGregor

It must be nice to have someone like Ewan McGregor "showering" you and your pet with gifts, don't you think? Then again, if you're Scarlett Johansson and you have to put up with Director Michael Bay, you probably deserve a little pampering.

In the New York Times, Scarlett (who is just 21 but seems to have been acting in mature roles for a decade) hints that her experience on the set of The Island was a bit challenging. When asked about director Bay's pet dogs, Scarlett says, "He needs them. He has a lot of enemies."

Last year, Scarlett bought herself a Chihuahua and was "showered" with gifts by her Island costar Ewan McGregor. He gave Scarlett "coats and collars and lots of dog toys."

Now you might think one of Hollywood's most lovely and talented up-and-coming actresses would be able to purchase her own dog items, but she is apparently quite accustomed to being on the receiving end of gifts. On the set of The Horse Whisperer, Robert Redford gave her a silver bracelet, "which I cherished," Scarlett says. And during the filming of Girl With a Pearl Earring, the author of the book upon which the movie was based gave her a hand-painted Dutch tile from the 16th century. "That was a really beautiful gift," she says. "Very thoughtful."
